Software Configuration Management is a fairly simple process for Development Staff. We use the Rational ClearCase Configuration Management tool, which allows us to make it easy for you to excersize the canonical "check-out/edit/test/check-in" cycle of software development under version control. The standard procedures are outlined below. Follow the links to get detail in the area of interest.

The seven major steps in Hybrid Technology's SCM version control for Software Developmers are:

• Read the ClearDDTS report for your work.
• Create and use a new ClearCase view.
• Check-out, edit, and check-in your files.
• Review your workspace.
• Pre-merge your work.
• Peer review and submit for merging.
• Clean up your view and lock your branch.
