Getting a Ticket to Ride

All Software Development work for Hybrid Technology should begin with either a "Software Requirements Specification" document or a Change Request which generates a record in the ClearDDTS Problem Tracking System. Your Project Leader will tell you about work assignments, and part of that assignment will be either for you to generate an "SRS" or to watch for mail from the ClearDDTS Problem Tracking System regarding a specific problem. In either case, you should also receive mail from the DDTS sytem regarding a "Defect ID" assigned to you.

On receiving a Defect ID, you can begin work:

• Log-in to the ClearDDTS system.
• Specifying your "Defect ID", use the Query by ID option to review you assignment.
• Now you are ready to begin solving the problem by creating a ClearCase view in order to make changes to the project's files and directory structure.
