How to Pre-Merge Your Branch

Here is a simple, reliable way to pre-merge, in two scenarios:

• Pre-merging changes from someone else's branch. We'll demonstrate using the GUI to merge in this example.
• Pre-merging changes from the main branch. This time, we'll show how to use the CLI to merge.

Following the pre-merge, additional modifications may be needed in order to make our changes behave properly in the context of the most recent product changes. We still need to Build, execute and check-in files.

And, finally, we can see the results, and we are done.

Soon after we have negotiated a peer review of the branch and submitted our merge request to the merger, the Buildmeister will merge our work to the /main branch.
