Gold-plated

Planetary tuners are a very quick and precise way to change tunings. They are quite an advantage on stage, where a music set may feature pieces in a number of different tunings. Also, the beginning student sometimes finds them indispensable for accurate tuning while the ear's sense of pitch is developing.

All our planetary tuners are made by Grover, an American manufacturer with the highest quality standards. We then custom-fit each one individually to the dulcimer at installation, giving a graceful elegance to the dulcimer peghead. These Gold-plated tuners harmonize with the deep, rich wood colors of Bear Meadow dulcimers. Also shown are the custom-made rosewood tuner buttons They are standard fittings on the Concert Series.

These Nickel-plated tuners are less expensive than the Gold-plated variety, and are just as serviceable. They can also be furnished with the rosewood handles shown on the gold-plated tuners (at top of page).
